For those of you wondering about me, I have 4 blessed children
- two sons and two daughters, grown now and a few of them having
their own children - yes, I am a grand mum. I live in the beautiful
mountains of Montana (originally from Texas) and am into sustainable
living, permaculture and off grid living. I love working with
and constantly researching the old textiles, such as spinning
and weaving, basketry, crocheting/knitting/lace making and of
course sewing. The land, organic permaculture gardening and
food preservation is a passion of mine. I also work with blacksmithing
[decorative, functional, metal work, not horse shoeing], gourd
work, carving and some basic wood working.
Please check out my Historical Baggage site,
for my textile arts and the new book that I am finishing, to
be published in the early fall of 2012- Historical Baggage:
The Book, Healing History.

For over 10 years I have had offers for
donations and have rejected them, not wanting anyone to think
that this research was swayed or influeneced by a donor. I have
provided this site and materials free of charge to all. But,
recently I was persuaded to accept donations on the basis that
there are others that would like to contribute to this work
in a way that they can - donation. This would free up some of
my time to enable more studies to be posted. In light of that
perspective, I have agreed to place a donation button on my
site to further this work. Thank you to any who value the truth
as much as I do. Kathryn QannaYahu
